Toni Braxton Loses Rights To Many Of Her Songs Due To Bankruptcy

As reported by the inimitable TMZ, it seems celebrated R&B singer-songwriter Toni Braxton has been forced to sell the rights to more than two dozen of her songs after filing for bankruptcy.

Braxton negotiated a deal in her bankruptcy case and settled with her multiple debtors. Part of the deal enabled her to buy back the rights to 27 songs from her catalog for $20,000, the only catch being she could be outbid. Unfortunately, she was. A certain Ross M. Klein doubled Toni’s price and purchased all the music, including the hits “You’re Making Me High”, “How Many Ways” and “Always.”

That’s all for now, folks. The fate of the rest of her catalog is unknown.
