Trinidad James has been dropped from Def Jam Records.
Well that ride didn’t last too long. After signing with Def Jam back in 2012 following the success of “All Gold Everything”, Trinidad James is no longer member of the family.
Taking to twitter Friday night, Trinidad announced that he has been dropped from Def Jam Records. Along with that, TJ revealed that he’ll be releasing his debut album for free now, and any producer looking to get paid, better not get their hopes up. Trinidad stated “If u hear ur beat or verse on it. I hope u want dap cuz i got no money”. (So much for all that gold he had).
Trinidad James hasn’t been shy when it comes to releasing material, as he dropped off his 10 Piece Mild project last Summer, but just couldn’t match the success of “All Gold Everything”, ultimately hurting his career.
It’s been a bumpy road for TJ, and it now looks like things just got a whole lot rougher.
Is this the end of Trinidad? Or should someone else pick him up?
Check out his tweet below.
