Clash Magazine premiere the 3rd installment of Troy Hudson’s 5-part visual EP ‘P.Y.T (Protect Your Throne)’.
After watching the 2nd video of Troy’s emotional journey, seeing her friends warn her that he has another lady at home, he talks her round and she agrees to marry him. In part 3, ‘Never Hurt Me Again’, we will find out if Troy finds out the truth and what happens next in this rather quick paced and turbulent romance. Will she let the player back into her life though as she opens the door for him at the end?
Troy’s whole EP conveys that classic R&B sound deriving influences from the likes of Mary J Blige, Aalyiah, Brandy and more, but Troy brings her own style and sound to it mixed with so many different emotions such as love, trust, denial and more. We will have to wait two weeks until the next one to see the outcome of her and her man.
Following the exclusive launch of Troy Hudson’s ‘Protect Your Throne’ project at the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill, where she packed every seat in the house for a sneak preview of her exciting new visuals, Troy captures the essence of what her music stands for and shows her experience as an artist from being a major label signee to an independent songstress with the wind beneath her wings; fresh, beautiful and different.
