Ty Dolla $ign has a new album on the way. The multi-talented musician announced on the weekend plans to released a new single wit J. Cole called “Purple Emoji.” On Monday (May 20), the L.A. singer/songwriter gave Zane Lowe and Beats 1 radio the green light to premiere the track, produced by MXXWLL. Cole World closes out the soulful, mellow record with a sharp guest verse.
“My brada @JColeNC and I came up with this jam a few months back in NYC and off top I knew it was the first one I wanted y’all to hear,” tweeted Ty $, revealing the song was made while working on Kanye West’s Yandhi album. Hear “Purple Emoji” below.
