With his new album IGOR out now, Tyler, The Creator debuts the video for one of the standout tracks, “EARFQUAKE.”
The clip, which Tyler self-directed, stars Tracee Ellis Ross as Pearl Edwards, the host of an ’80s-themed talk show. She introduces her guest IGOR, whose blond bob she calls the “friendliest hair I’ve ever seen in my life.”
After some awkward banter, IGOR begins his performance, complete with a wind machine and piano. He eventually lights up a cigarette, despite being told not to, before the set catches on fire. He continues to perform, while a firefighter (also played by Tyler) extinguishes the flames.
“this video is so stupid but sick,” tweeted Tyler, who praised his “wonderful” co-star.
