The current “Barbie World” that Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice create together is unmistakable. The single launched alongside its music video on the soundtrack to the new Barbie film.
Video director Hanna Lux Davis sets the track “Barbie Girl” by Europop band Aqua to images of the two rap superstars strutting around their Barbie House in Beverly Hills, flaunting their doll-like lifestyle.
As they rap back and forth, “And I’m bad like the Barbie / I’m a doll but I still wanna party / Pink ‘Vette like I’m ready to bend / I’m a ten, so I pull in a Ken,” the two raptors tower over Kens in the desert and wave as they race across the skies.
Starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Issa Rae, Dua Lipa, America Ferrera, Will Ferrell, and a slew of others, Barbie is a fantasy and comedy film based on the popular Mattel fashion dolls.
