Watch the Star Studded DMX Tribute at the 2021 BET Awards

Actor Michael K. Williams then appeared in DMX aura and introduced Swizz Beatz and the LOX who did the remix version of DMX’s classic song ‘Ruff Ryders Anthem’. Finally, Busta Rhymes took over and led a rendition of the rapper’s first Hot 100 hit, ‘Party Up (Up in Here)’.

The performance ended with a portion from The Great Depression interlude ‘The Prayer IV’. Watch it below. X passed away in April at the age of 50 unexpectedly after a reported overdose which led to multiple organ failure.

Lil Baby has been on fire for a couple of years now and it’s at a point where it’s strange to not hear him on one of the big Hip-Hop or R&B albums that drop. Of all of his collaborations, one of the strangest is one that came last month with Kirk Franklin. It’s called ‘We Win‘ and was released as part of the soundtrack for Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Migos were set to perform their single ‘Straightenin’ from their CULTURE III album but surprising the crowd was Cardi B who came out to perform ‘Type Sh*t’. She also surprised the world by revealing that she and Offset are pregnant once again.

DaBaby Performs ‘Ball If I Want To’ At 2021 BET Awards

The performance had a lot of moving parts and as you might be able to tell from the image above or the thumbnail below, it was over the top and whacky, which suits DaBaby’s style and the song perfectly. You can watch it below.

H.E.R. Performs ‘We Made It’

Tonight, H.E.R. took the stage in Las Vegas at the BET Awards for a performance of ‘We Made It’ from the LP. Impressively, she performs some of it whilst playing the drums and then the guitar. Watch it in full below.

Moneybagg Yo is one of the many performers at tonight’s BET Awards and he took the opportunity to perform not one, but two songs from his latest album A Gangsta’s Pain.

At tonight’s BET Awards which are currently taking place live from Las Vegas, she took the stage for a performance of the song. We’re not sure if her recent social media exchange with fellow performer DaBaby had anything to do with it, but the performance and her aura had a dark feel to it. It made for a great watch.

Jazmine Sullivan’s Heaux Tales album received some heavy praise upon release and it looks like it’ll hold up enough to be in the conversation for the best album of the year at the end of 2021. She actually just won Album Of The Year for it at the show.

On there is a collaboration with Ari Lennox called ‘On It’, which the pair performed earlier tonight at the 2021 BET Awards. Sullivan also performed her latest single ‘Tragic’ which samples Maxine Waters, who she brought out for some assistance.

Silk Sonic Perform ‘Leave The Door Open’ At 2021 BET Awards

Towards the end, .Paak even teased performance of a new song off their album but quickly changed his mind. “Do y’all want to hear a new song? Do ya’ll want to hear a new song off the new album? Nah! We’re gonna bring [‘Leave the Door Open’] back! ‘Cause we’re still in the top 10! We’re gonna do this again, and again, and again!”
