Award Winning Singer/Songwriter/Multi-instrumentalist Gina Brooklyn, now only 17 years old, sent a pre-mastered version of her soon to come EP (produced by Idris Aquil from Universal Music Group) back in January of 2018 to a few select industry professionals. Within a month, Gina was signed to a two year publishing administration and a digital global distribution deal with California based Ingrooves Music Group.
The track and video “Warning” was Gina’s follow up song to “Normal” released on July 13th, recorded at Cove City Sound Studios in NY, features a string quartet and is a powerful tribute to the big band/crooner era. Gina’s vocal performance is powerful, taking the listener on a an emotional heartfelt journey of a painful breakup.
Throughout her creative career, Gina has had the opportunity to perform at a multitude of prominent venues across the United States, including The BlueBird Cafe in Nashville, The Bitter End in NYC, AMPLYFi in LA, and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
In March of 2017, Gina released her debut 6-song self-titled EP on iTunes which was well received by music critics alike
As a result of Gina’s EP release, her sixth track “Beauty All Around”was nominated in the Best Pop Song category for the 2018 RoundGlass Music Awards held in NYC on January 26th, 2018 at the Edison Ballroom. Her nomination was listed amongst such music Legends as Ringo Starr and Grammy Nominated Artist Kokayi & Traci Braxton.
The first track on the EP called “Faceless”made Gina June’s 2017 Artist Revelation Winner from The American Tracks Music Awards.
She also co-wrote a song called “From The Outside“(not on her EP) with songwriting legends Mike Shimshack and Stephanie Lewis who have sold over 40 million albums combined. The song was selected as a 2016 nominee for the Hollywood Songwriting Contest in the Country & Western category, won a bronze medal as a song finalist for the 2017 Global Music Awards, and most recently placed as a finalist in the country category for the 2017 Session I – John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
Both dedicated and equally as driven, Gina is on a mission to inspire as many people as possible through the universal language of music. Her musical style showcases a harmonious fusion of R&B, Jazz, and pop, soul-gripping melodies, engaging lyrics, and distinctive vocals that creates a captivating ambiance far ahead of its time.
