JAY-Z made a triumphant return to the stage as he headlined V Festival in the UK on Saturday night (August 19). In what was his only European show of 2017, Hov gave a live debut to his latest album 4:44 while running through his catalog of classic hits. To close out his headlining set, Hov dedicated a performance of “Numb/Encore” — from his 2004 Collision Course EP with Linkin Park — to the late Chester Bennington, who tragically committed suicide last month. “Can you guys light it up for Chester from Linkin Park one time tonight?” he asked the crowd. “Please make some noise so he can hear you all the way in heaven tonight.”
Next up for Hov is Philadelphia’s Made in America Festival, which he’s co-headlining with J. Cole, on September 2-3. His 4:44 Tour kicks off the following month on October 27.
