Watch Outkast’s full Coachella 2014 set, which features a guest appearance from second-generation Dungeon Family member Future.
Hip-hop royals André 3000 and Big Boi, reunited as Outkast, closed the first day of the Coachella music festival last night, and the full experience has already hit YouTube for those who weren’t in attendance or missed the live stream.
The 90-minute set covered the essentials of their catalogue, and included solo performances from both members of the duo, as well as guest appearances from Janelle Monáe and Dungeon Family affiliate Future. Prince was apparently in the audience as well.
Feedback on the performance has been mixed, and there’ve been reports of technical difficulties, a somewhat weak crowd and a premature end to the set, but as Q-Tip so eloquently tweeted, “all these cats giving advice need to chill out … they are artists and they are nuanced and mighty.”
