The Bop Live started out as a small, virtual festival based only online, and was set up by London based company SDS Entertainment in an aim to bring some hope to an area that really needs some. Fast forward 18 months later, and the festival was brought to actual reality on February 5th, and played host to an array of talent from the area of Croydon and beyond.
In particular intrigue was headline artist Reek0, who has amassed a big following already with his hypnotic hip-hop style in songs such as ‘Good Dreams’ and ‘Know Me Already’. He showcased exactly what The bop Live is about, showcasing talent and giving them a platform to perform and portray their talents. The festival was a storming success and will hopefully be a catalyst for many more to come in the years ahead.
SDS Entertainment founder Makeda says that:
“We’ve not only seen first hand the plethora of local talented creatives here but also a great number of up and coming creatives simply looking for local events and initiatives to help with their professional development. The Bop Live was created to shine a light on these creatives and the borough, whilst also inviting other creatives from other areas to see what we the Croydoners are offering.”
