Wauve releases the official video for ‘Pamela’ taken from his debut EP ‘Shade’ releasing later today (Oct 23rd).
Directed by Earthboi, the video takes place in a London salon and tells the story of Wauve’s love interest: Pamela – a girl of the African diaspora in the UK. Embellished with an array of traditional African attire and hairstyles, the video is a celebration of black beauty & African culture.
The vibrant, sun-kissed anthem features south London’s Zie Zie and Ghanaian based afrobeats artist Stonebwoy. Also produced by Wauve, ‘Pamela’ sees the 3 artists blend their respective heritages (Eritrea, Congo & Ghana) – creating a cohesive and infectious sound. In a 21st century world where many people struggle with identity ‘Pamela’ is about taking pride in who you are, wherever you’re from, and reconnecting yourself to what it is that makes you unique.
