Just 6 days into 2020 and the drama is already on. Wiley and Stormzy send for each other on twitter and now on wax.
Wiley attempted to rile up Stormzy on Twitter by sending a volley of tweets that criticised the grime star for his Ed Sheeran collaboration.
The “godfather of grime” has taken aim at a number of fellow rappers over the years, including Stormzy and AJ Tracey, the latter of whom he recently mocked for his hit “Ladbroke Grove”, which is a nod to old-school garage music.
He claimed the only reason Jay-Z wanted to work with Stormzy was because Sheeran was involved (Stormzy actually turned down the US hip-hop star’s offer to work on their other track, “Take Me Back to London”).
The exchange of words between the two rappers started after Wiley mentioned Stormzy’s name in a tweet, to which Big Mike responded with: “I love you so much but you are so annoying f**king hell.”
A few more exchanges and Wiley decided to drop off a new track titled “Wicked Skengman” referring to Stormzy’s series. Stormzy has responded today the 6th with his own titled “Disappointed”. Listen to both tracks below
Wiley has dropped a new track aimed at the Heavy is the Head rapper.
