Wiz Khalifa says he asked Amber Rose why she made her twerk video. He also comments on Miley Cyrus’ MTV VMAs performance.
Wiz Khalifa recently addressed his wife Amber Rose’s twerk video after commenting on Miley Cyrus’ twerkingduring an interview with New York radio station Hot 97.
“Young, wild and free,” Wiz said when asked to comment on Miley Cyrus’ twerking during her MTV Video Music Awards performance. “You’ve gotta let people do what they want to do…That’s my homegirl.”
Beyond being his homegirl, Miley Cyrus is also an artist Khalifa has collaborated with. The two recently filmed a video for “23,” a selection for Mike WiLL Made It. The Cyrus/Khalifa connection also expands beyond music as Cyrus’ mother, Tish Cyrus, is managing Wiz’s wife, Amber Rose.
Amber Rose also commented on Miley Cyrus’ twerking, saying that she is a “real sweetheart.” After speaking about Cyrus’ twerking, Rose’s own twerk video became the focal point of discussion.
Rose addressed the twerk video, which she published on Instagram, and explained how it came about.
“[Someone] peer-pressured me into putting that video out completely,” Rose said. “And I was like, ‘Fine, I’ll do it.’ The next day, [Wiz] was like, ‘Aw, shit. You put out a freakin’ twerk video.'”
Khalifa reacted to the video also.
“I was like, ‘What did you do that for?'” Khalifa said. “I wasn’t not into it. I was just like, ‘Is that what you really want to do?’ She was like, ‘It was fun.’ I was like, ‘Alright. Cool. Whatever.'”

Aside from the aforementioned collaboration with Mike WiLL Made It and Miley Cyrus, Khalifa is also working on his own new music. He is now crafting his upcoming project, Black Hollywood.
