Wizkid teams up with Drake again for “Hush Up The Silence.”
WizKid’s name was everywhere in 2016, thanks to his contribution on Drake’s first-ever No. 1 record and VIEWS smash-hit “One Dance.” The record, which also features Kyla, went four times platinum and spent 12 non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 while breaking various streaming records along the way.
Back in October, WizKid hinted that another collaboration with the 6 God was on the way. “6god x Real Starboy about to school everybody!!,” tweeted the Nigerian star to his 2.4 million followers. It appears that record is here, as on Saturday (Jan. 14) a song titled “Hush Up the Silence” surfaced online. Much like the VIEWS standouts “One Dance,” “Controlla” and “Too Good,” the soothing track features elements of Caribbean music, as Drake comes through crooning during the song’s second half.
