Skins the first posthumous album from XXXTentacion, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week. Featuring an appearance by Kanye West, the ten-track LP moved 132,000 equivalent album units (52,000 in true album sales) opening week according to Nielsen Music. A bulk of the album’s sales came from streaming, as the project tallied 78,000 SEA units, which equals to 121.8 million on-demand audio streams. Skins the first posthumous No. 1 album since Prince’s The Very Best of Prince, which re-entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 1 in May 2016, following his death in late April of that year.
The late rapper, who died in June, previously notched the 10 albums with the albums ? (debuted at No. 1) earlier this year and 17 (debuted at No. 2) in 2017.
