Yogi recruits BLK, Kid Ink & Maleek Berry for new song “Baby.”
Today marks the release of Yogi’s long-awaited single ‘Baby’ featuring Maleek Berry, Ray BLK and Kid Ink. Listen HERE. Premiered last night via Annie Mac as her ‘Hottest Record’ and DJ Target as his Targo Embargo, the single is undeniably a hit, filled with energetic rhythms reminiscent of carefree summer nights. Yogi samples Julio Bashmore and brings his unique flavour and international influences into the masterful production, once again positioning himself as the one to watch for 2018.
“ I always wanted to find a way to flip Au Seve, I took the break down section and slowed it down and worked with Ray BLK and Kid Ink to help make a verse and chorus on it. Maleek was the last but vital piece of the puzzle to make the song come alive. Once I had all the vocals I went in on the production to make it feel like it would go down in the club” explains Yogi.
“I’ve never done a song like this and glad I got to try something new and do something fun with summer vibes and be a part of Yogi’s dope album!” says RAY BLK.
“Once I got sent the song I fell in love with it instantly. The beat is just a vibe. Didn’t take me long to come up with my verse. As soon as it hit me I knew exactly what to do. This will be a summer anthem” speaks Maleek Berry.
