New York City born & bred recording artist Zak Downtown is gearing up for a big 2017. His summer single “So I Say” lays catchy pop melodies and a slick flow over Brazilian instrumentation and club-smashing drums. After garnering 300k+ streams on the audio in three months, Downtown delivers the clean and crisp visuals, directed by himself and Matty Lohmann.
The “So I Say” video follows Zak Downtown through his various local stomping grounds – from a bodega in the West Village to a basketball court in Chinatown – and even includes a cameo from NY Knicks center Joakim Noah in what looks like a spaceship.
Zak Downtown is set to release a 5 track EP in the beginning of 2017 and will be touring through the spring.
