BRIT Awards Winners 2018

2018 brit awards

The BRIT Awards 2018 are well underway and the winners are being announced.

In the best British female solo artist category, Dua Lipa won her first ever award after facing competition from 2015 winner Paloma Faith, Jessie Ware, Kate Tempest, and Laura Marling.

Meanwhile, she’s also been nominated for British Album of the Year, Single of the Year, British Video of the Year and British Breakthrough.

Ed Sheeran has three nominations, including best British male solo artist, alongside four artists who released their debut solo albums last year.

Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, south London rapper Loyle Carner, grime star Stormzy and singer Rag’N’Bone Man join Ed on the shortlist for the prize which was posthumously won by David Bowie in 2017.

The public will be able to vote in the Best British Single category, as ever – which is usually made up of the best-selling releases from the past year.

Some BRIT Awards categories have already had their winners announced, as Jorja Smith has won Critics’ Choice, while Steve Mac has been named the Producer of the Year.

Keep coming back and we’ll update throughout the night.
