After years of anticipation, Cardi B is back with her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I The Drama — a 23-track powerhouse that’s already shaking the rap and pop worlds. Alongside the release, Cardi premieres the official video for “Safe” featuring Kehlani.
The video blends high fashion with raw storytelling, following Cardi’s character through the turbulence of a troubled relationship that spirals into tragedy. Co-star Don Benjamin plays her love interest, while Cardi and Kehlani deliver a soulful performance that captures both vulnerability and strength.
On the track, Cardi raps:
“I don’t need a rich nigga, just somebody that can make me feel safe / I cut off a couple niggas ’cause they never ever made me feel safe.”
Kehlani answers with smooth assurance:
“’Cause when I’m with you, I just know I’m fine / You take all the pressure off my mind.”
