Chris Brown has been arrested in Paris on suspicion of rape, according to French magazine Closer. The 29-year-old singer was detained by police on Monday (Jan. 21) along with two other people — a friend and his bodyguard — after a 24-year-old woman alleged she was raped at Brown’s hotel suite on the night of Jan. 15.

According to her first statement, made to the police of the 1st judicial police district, where she directly filed a complaint, the young woman was invited by Chris Brown to his hotel Le Mandarin Oriental, rue Saint Honore, along with other women. Then she found herself in a single room alone with the American star. That’s where she was raped according to her testimony. She said a friend of Chris Brown and his bodyguard also abused her.
Chris Brown remains in police custody.
