Common and Pete Rock have dropped their latest collaboration, “Dreamin,” the second single from their forthcoming album The Auditorium, Vol. 1. Featuring a sample of Aretha Franklin’s “Day Dreamin,” the song sees Common delivering introspective lyrics about life’s inspirations and ambitions. “It was all a dream / I was talking to Dr. King / He told me to dream in ways that the prophets dream,” he raps over Pete Rock’s triumphant production.
Set for release on July 12, The Auditorium, Vol. 1 will include 15 tracks and feature guest artists like Bilal, Jennifer Hudson, Posdnuos, and PJ. This album promises a soulful journey through the realms of hip-hop.
