Jaclyn Rachelle – Thotsaclyn
Rachelle’s new single “Thots” produced by Von Vuai will put you in a dream-like state. Off her upcoming project, How To Stay Alive: Vol II, “Thots” will give you a peek into the mind of Miss Rachelle.
The Golden Ponyboy – Superficial Feat. Tray Haggerty
On a strange night in June, The Golden Ponyboy and I ended up in John Stamos’s (Uncle Jesse from Full House) LA mansion in the Hills. Surrounded by framed platinum Beach Boys placks, we wrote and recorded ‘Superficial’ during a house party, an anthem dedicated to the Barbie dolls that roam the lands of California. Curious what that sounds like?
ARLO – Safe
London based up and comer ARLO returns with his biggest moment yet with the widescale ” Safe”. Having gained the acclaim of the likes of BBC Music, Metro, Complex and Clash Magazine on the back of his first offerings, ‘Ivory’, Shake The Room’ and Refuge’, ARLO reveals another nod to his obvious potential. Speaking on the track, ARLO states:
There’s no worse feeling than someone breaking their promise to you especially when they know the hardship you’ve previously been through. This is me saying I won’t make the same mistake again – I’ll keep everything I hold dearly “safe”
Listen to the track HERE, and keep a close eye on more music coming from ARLO.
Chewy&Bach – Potion
“Potion” is a unique balance between clean and bassy production, soulful psychedelic guitar and catchy vocals with impressive falsetto. The song expresses the dark relationship with substance abuse through a self-reflective lense. Complete with classical violin “Potion” offers a unique sound and powerful vocals that resemble James Blake and Sam Smith, with an electronic production influenced by Odeza, Exmag and Pretty Lights.
Justin Long and Elliot Olbright formed a musical and business collaboration to create a unique sound and powerful vision. Coming from very different artistic backgrounds, they were able to compliment each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Mixing electronic and modern producing techniques with inspiring melodies and harmonies that scream the names of the giants of Blues, Funk and Soul. The lyrics have a modern twist with intense passion, This is music that will make you want to close your eyes and ease your soul into a dimension of ambiance and then jump out of your seats to embody the syncopated groove.
“Chewy&Bach is a cure for music ADD. A love of the roots perfected through electronica”
Maths Time Joy – Only You feat JMR
Grammy-nominated British producer & songwriter Maths Time Joy’s new single ‘Only You’ feat. JMR which will be released this Friday, November 17th.
Nashville native JMR’s smooth and sultry vocals wrap around the silky electronic beats to create this stand out progressive soul track. It’s the first single to be revealed from his forthcoming 5 track EP ‘Sunset Motel’ which is set for release in early 2018.
Having spent the majority of 2017 producing for other artists including Mahalia (Sober, No Pressure), Kevin Garrett (A Heart Like Yours) RØMANS (Overthinking ft. Mary J Blige), Snakehips/Malika (Put It On Me) to name a few, as well as earning a Grammy nomination for his work on Gallant’s ‘Ology” – Maths Time Joy returns with his first extended project in 2 years.
Following on from his previous EP ‘Sanctuary’, which gained support from the likes of Annie Mac, i-D and Pigeons and Planes, and included his collaboration with Gallant on track ‘Cerulean’, Maths Time Joy returns with ‘Only You’ feat JMR, the first single off his new EP ‘Sunset Motel’ set for release in Spring 2018.
Raveena – If Only
“I wrote the lyric ideas for “If Only” a couple years ago after I had finally left a toxic relationship. Recently, I rediscovered them and brought them to my producer and boyfriend Everett Orr, who helped bring the lyrics to life with the right melodies and music. For me, this song is about recognizing your own strength and divinity as a woman and moving on from anyone in your life that doesn’t support that journey. People you surround yourself with should make you feel empowered and safe – not drained, manipulated or on edge.”
This is the 3rd single off Raveena’s forthcoming EP, Shanti, which will be available everywhere on December 6th.
Golda – NsfW
Mystery project Golda stun with simmering debut single “NsfW”, out on tastemaker label Majestic Casual. “NsfW” introduces the listener to a world of dark, drug-infested R&B, drowning in lo-fi samples and sub-bass. Complex hi-hat and percussion patterns keep the hard hitting hip-hop-esque drums afloat, while multilayered vocal layers create an all round, vibrant piece of modern RnB.
Golda’s sound can be likened to The Weeknd, Miguel and Frank Ocean. “NsfW” is available via Majestic Casual Records on November 10th.
Erik Sanders – Forever Whatever
Brisbane artist Erik Sanders has returned with his third single under WVS, coming through with the bubbly, up-beat new summer anthem FOREVER WHATEVER.
FOREVER WHATEVER comes after the success of Sanders’ last WVS release, ‘Purple Panther’, which landed him a spot as triple j unearthed feature artist and won him the chance to perform at this years Sprung Festival on the Gold Coast.
Sanders once again teams up with common collaborator and producer James Angus on the vibrant new single, combining his slick, charismatic and melodic delivery with the bouncy, juke-inspired Angus production.
“The song is about overcoming a breakup with your significant other and realizing what you’re worth by yourself, without being in a relationship,” said Sanders on the song’s meaning.
FOREVER WHATEVER is a taste of what’s still to come from Sanders, as he gears up to release his debut EP, ‘Still Alive’, which is set to drop via WVS in 2018.
Ayelle – Silverplates (Prod. Crayon)
Ayelle tackles entitlement on her mouthwatering new single ‘Silverplates’. Produced by Parisian Crayon ( Roche Musique ), the seductive, yet confrontational track carries Ayelle’s trademark bittersweet vocals over a slow-burning electronic RnB soundscape.
“Silverplates is a metaphor for male privilege and the entitlement felt towards female identifying bodies. Too often in this narrative, women are made to feel as if they’re disposable, and it’s an exhausting landscape to navigate.” – Ayelle.
The new release follows a series of re-invigorating singles and collaborations this year, including the Spotify playlisted ‘ Issues ’ and the PRS Women Make Music supported ‘ Lacuna ’. Collaborations with Calper , AKAY , and more have positioned the young artist as one to keep an eye on.
Another EP is also in the pipelines for the Swedish-Iranian singer, who’s been steadily carving out her own space.
Listen an buy the single on iTunes.

Each of his originals is an auditory time capsule that plunges listeners into his own memories and experiences, energized by the very essence of life: self-discovery; love and daring to let one’s own authentic colors shine. With a soulful wisdom far beyond his years and his finger on the pulse of his generation, Corey El lends a fresh perspective to decades’ worth of musical styles, inspired by the pioneering sounds of pop, R&B and urban music gurus such as B. Slade (Anthony Williams II), Kanye West and Michael Jackson.
