Global superstar Doja Cat has officially released her fifth studio album Vie, out now via Kemosabe Records / RCA Records. Alongside the project, she’s also dropped the striking new music video for “Gorgeous”, directed by Bardia Zeinali in New York City and featuring cameos from Yseult, Irina Shayk, Paloma Elsesser, Alek Wek, Imaan Hammam, and more.
Explaining the album title, Doja shares: “Vie is the French word for ‘life’. It comes from the Roman numeral V (five), representing curiosity, adventure, and change. This album is about love, romance, sex, pain, and wonder — all tied to the adventure of life.”
With sonic nods to the 70s, 80s, and 90s, Vie finds Doja Cat reimagining romance and self-love through a bold, modern lens. The release follows her recent CBS Sunday Morning profile and comes ahead of major TV appearances, including co-hosting The Tonight Show on October 1st and performing on SNL’s Season 51 premiere on October 4th.
