Drake’s Record-Breaking 430-Week Run on the Billboard Hot 100 Comes to an End
For the first time in approximately eight years, two months and 23 days, Drake is absent from the Billboard Hot 100.

With “Passionfruit” (No. 81 last week) and “Signs” (No. 100 last week) falling out of the Hot 100, the latest edition of Billboard’s singles chart is the first one not to feature a song from Drizzy (either as a lead or guest artist) since May 23, 2009, when he made his debut — at No. 92 — with “Best I Ever Had.” In that time, Drake has made a total of 155 appearances — including 20 in the top 10 — on the Billboard Hot 100, second only to the cast of Glee (207).
Drake is not present on the Hot 100 for the first time since his debut (5/23/09), ending a 430 week streak of continuous charting.

The news might come as a slight blow for an artist who has dominated multiple charts over the last few years, but there’s a silver lining for the 6ix God: he’s solidified his record for the longest uninterrupted run on the Billboard Hot 100 at an incredible 430 weeks. A similar milestone was achieved recently over on the Billboard 200 by Eminem, whose 2005 compilation album, Curtain Call: The Hits, became the longest-charting rap album at 350 weeks.
With Drake currently hard at work on his next album in Toronto, it won’t be long before we’ll be seeing his name back on the Billboard charts, though.
