The Freebandz general has also added another gold plaque to his collection as the RIAA announces his 2015 hit single “March Madness” has sold more than half a million copies (via physical sales and streaming). At least these latest accolades will help soften the blow for Future after sound issues disrupted his set at the Roots Picnic and a combination of severe weather, an early curfew and a fight in the crowd prevented him from performing at Hot 97’s Summer Jam last weekend.

“Future was crushed by the request [to cancel his Summer Jam performance] but was told it was in the best interest and for everyone’s safety that he leave,” Future’s manager, Anthony Saleh, told Billboard. “We couldn’t be more disappointed but we promise our fans that in spite of the rocky start, we will do everything in our power to make this summer one for the history books!!! #SummerSixteen”
