With “Tulips & Roses,” G-Eazy is back with new music.
Gerald needed time away from the limelight to deal with his grief after his mother’s death, so he took a month off. The artist, while staying in a Parisian rental, wrote an open and introspective description of his life and profession.
G moans, “Was fading when I composed this…” in the song. Not even sure what a house is… Who would catch me if I fell? Who would pick me up if I fell?
His self-assurance was shaken, but he regained it while writing, proclaiming, “My star’s back gleaming bright I simply polished it…My soul, it seems, has awakened again. Get back to work and make up for lost time… Stop making analogies, you don’t need to bring it up. Cheers to the fact that we can all get along, bros… Back after a break wondering what I’d missed. It’s not done this way, therefore Gerald has gone back into his bag.
The highly renowned band Gabriels has a song called “Blame” that is sampled in this song. It didn’t take long for G to become a dedicated follower of the band after hearing their songs online. I was motivated to discover an original interpretation of their music and a productive manner to collaborate with them. G was composing a song when he saw that its theme paralleled that of “Blame,” which deals with guilt, humiliation, and overindulgence. With “Tulips & Roses” as the final product.
The song’s epic music video follows G as he falls in love and lives in Paris, only to end on a cliffhanger as he experiences betrayal. Does he manage to get himself out of this jam, and what happens next? What comes next for G-Eazy is anyone’s guess.
