Hugo Valentine shares his third single entitled “Memories”
‘Memories’ is written from the view of Hugo the adult looking at his childhood self. It explores Hugo’s fleeting moments of his childhood memories, looking into the unblemished and blissfully ignorant world of a child. It depicts adulthood almost as a kind of prison, locked away from free thought. Memories explores the idea that as children we often wish to be grown up, but then when we finally reach maturity we wish once again for the purity and innocence of childhood, now only a distant memory. With the bittersweet taste of nostalgia, Memories is about longing for just one more moment in a time that’s long gone.
