Fally Ipupa “XX” Album

Fally Ipupa marks two decades at the summit of African music with the release of XX, a 19-track album that reflects longevity, evolution and global ambition. Arriving via Warner Music France, the project signals a pivotal new chapter for the Congolese icon widely regarded as the Prince of Rumba.

Led by “Jam” featuring Wizkid and the previously released “Cinéma,” XX brings together an expansive international cast. Collaborators include Angélique Kidjo, Joé Dwèt Filé, DJ Maphorisa, Calema and KeBlack, each adding texture across a body of work that feels both celebratory and forward-facing.

Sonically, the album balances eras. The global polish that defined the Tokoos period intersects with the richer instrumentation and guitar-led foundations rooted in Congolese rumba. Producers such as Trésor Riziki, Dany Synthé and Seysey help shape a sound that is contemporary without detaching from heritage.
