Following its wildly successful debut in 2022, Wales’ largest and finest festival, “In It Together,” has now released details about the outstanding lineup of performers that will be performing in Margam this May.
Anne-Marie, The Kooks, James, James Bay, Jake Bugg, UB40, The Vamps, Kelis, Diversity, Melanie C, Vengaboys, Chase & Status, Groove Armada, and many more will perform at this year’s festival, making it suitable for listeners of all musical preferences.
The family-friendly weekender, which made its debut in 2022 and quickly became the largest festival in Wales, is expected to attract as many as 30,000 visitors each day to Old Park Farm this year. In addition to the incredible musical lineup, the festival will also provide more than eighty free family activities throughout the weekend. A family ticket for two people, two children, and up to four grandparents costs £359, which takes into account both families’ needs and budgets.
The festival is a strong supporter of up-and-coming local talent, giving over 50 Welsh artists a stage to perform and promote their work as they bring some of the world’s greatest names to the Welsh Valleys.
The Paddock stage, co-curated by BBC Horizons and Focus Wales, will be returning to the festival this year to feature up-and-coming Welsh and English-speaking musicians. In 2023, Steelworks, a new outdoor stage featuring the finest in local underground brands and electronic dance music, will provide even more exposure for indigenous artists.
The festival will officially begin on Thursday with The Welsh Rock Choir performing as part of the Thursday Campers Party, followed by a performance by Natalie Imbruglia.
Headliners such as The Kooks (Friday), Anne-Marie (Saturday), and James (who closes the festival on Sunday) will perform on the main Parc Stage, which will welcome some of the greatest acts from the UK and abroad.
Headliners Groove Armada (Friday), Yousef presents Circus stage takeover (Saturday), and Chase and Status closing off the weekend with an epic DJ performance on Sunday night will bring House, Techno, and Drum n Bass together once more in the festival’s legendary dance tent Panchaia.
Also totally new to the festival grounds in 2023 is the Rewind arena. On Friday, catch garage oldies by Luck & Neat, Artful Dodger, and So Solid, and on Saturday, get your trance on to the sounds of N Trance and Ultrabeat. S Club, Louise, and Big Brovaz & Booty Luv are just a few of the top names in pop and R&B who will be performing at Rewind on Sunday.
“We created the enthusiasm with our debut festival in 2022, and we’re happy to be returning for 2023 with even more stages, activities and a fantastic line up to match,” said Mark Hopkins, Head of Festivals, in reference to this year’s event. Keep an eye out for further news leading up to the event.
Tickets are already on sale, with weekend camping tickets starting at £169 and family passes accommodating two people, two children, and four grandparents costing £359.
