Janet Jackson On Health Rumors: “I Do Not Have Cancer”.

 

Janet Jackson is striking down recent rumors about her health. Amidst reports that she was diagnosed with throat cancer, the 49-year-old took to social media, responding to those claims.

In a two-minute video posted on her Twitter account and YouTube, the 49-year-old states the rumors are not true. “Remember… believe it when you hear it from my lips,” a message reads in the video, as the Unbreakable track “The Great Forever” plays. “The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer. I’m recovering,” Janet says in the message.

“My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled,” Jackson also says, referring to the remaining dates of her “Unbreakable World Tour” that were cancelled in December. “Thank you for your prayers and love,” Janet closes the message with.

The European Tour dates will continue as planned, kicking off March 30 in Birmingham, U.K., running through spring until May 3.

On Tuesday, RadarOnline first reported that doctors had found a tumor on Jackson’s throat “that could be cancerous.”
