Jeezy drops Cam Newton-inspired anthem: “Hit Um.”
Before the NFC Championship Game vs. Arizona, Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton was escorted onto the field by two legends of Atlanta rap, Future and Jeezy. As Cam gets ready for his first-ever Super Bowl matchup, in which he’ll face off against Peyton Manning of the Broncos, both Future and Jeezy have now been a part of promotional content in support of the Atlanta-bred NFL MVP.
Future provided the narration to Cam’s new commercial with Beats by Dre, and now, Jeezy has teamed with one of Cam’s sponsors, Under Armour, to drop a pump-up track in anticipation of tonight’s game. The song, “Hit Um,” represents the nothing-to-lose, underdog mentality that has led Cam to a historic season. Bumping “Hit Um” in the locker room should get him the right mindset to earn the Panthers their first world championship.
