NEWS: Notorious B.I.G. Autopsy Report Released

7 Dec 2012 By prodizzle

After 15 years, The Notorious B.I.G.’s autopsy report has finally been released. Read more on it below.

The Notorious B.I.G., government name Christopher Wallace, was killed in a drive-by shooting on Wilkshire Boulevard in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997 at the age of 24. He suffered four 9 mm gunshot wounds while riding in the passenger seat of a GMC Suburban driven by Gregory “G-Money” Young. Only one of these wounds were fatal.

The non-fatal bullets struck Wallace in the forearm, left shoulder and left thigh.

The fatal bullet struck him in the hip and bore through his liver, colon, heart and left lung, finally becoming lodged in his left shoulder. He was rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital where a thoracotomy was attempted, but it was unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at 1:15 AM.

A toxicology report at the time of his death revealed no traces of drugs or alcohol in his system.

Wallace’s murder remains a mystery to this day, with no charges laid in the long since abandoned investigation. There is speculation that it was ordered by Suge Knight as a retaliation for the similar murder of rival rapper Tupac Shakur six months earlier.
