Dame Dash’s ex has raised more speculation that she may be the other woman referenced throughout “Lemonade”.
Beyoncé’s LEMONADE was the event it promised to be, delivering on the musical and visual side of things, but also supplying some big surprises — namely, more or less confirming rumors that Bey’s husband, Jay Z, had cheated on her. There are multiple references to the infidelity throughout the album, but one lyric proved catchier and more damning than the rest — “he better call Becky with the good hair.”
Of course, Bey never mentions the other woman by name, but the gossip circuit has suggested that fashion designer and ex-wife of Dame Dash, Rachel Roy, could be the source of the tension in Beyoncé and Jay Z’s marriage. Her name is mentioned way back to the infamous elevator incident in 2014. “Solange was defending Beyoncé in the elevator because Solange finds Jay’s friendship with Rachel to be WAY too close for comfort and it makes Solange very uncomfortable,” a source told Hollywood Life that year.
Whether or not these rumors have any validity to them, Rachel Roy has decided to play into the speculation, referencing the “Becky” line on Instagram only a few hours after LEMONADE blew everyone’s minds.
“Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens,” she captioned a late night selfie.
Whatever the intention of the post, it’s been enough to get the BeyHive in formation. So far, Roy’s Wikipedia and Instagram have been targeted by fans, forcing Roy to switch to private on IG.

UPDATE: Roy has responded to the overwhelming negative attention from Bey fans, asking that they stop “bullying” her.
