After releasing his single “The Don’t Care” in 2017 Mal the Oddity returns to HWING with “Deli Nights”.
Mal the Oddity is a musician and producer out of Brooklyn, New York. Making music since the age of 16, Mal’s sound is defined by his ear for melody and eccentric taste in psychedelic effects. His music is often personal and highly visual, something reflected in his love for film and fashion. On Deli Nights, Mal’s latest single, he brings us into the world of an off-kilter black kid, a world filled with introspection and tinged by afro-futurism, with a classic Brooklyn vibe at its core. He paints the picture of a classic summer night in New York, where he struggles with his demons on the long 2AM subway ride back home.
Mal is part of the creative collective Nocoast, an ensemble of rappers, singers, instrumentalists, photographers, videogrpahers & designers. He has two upcoming show dates in New York: December 21st @ The Well (10PM) and January 12th @ Piano’s (7PM).
