Jon Vinyl – Nostalgia
‘Nostalgia’ is the first track we have heard of Toronto’s Jon Vinyl. We think this track has the potential to really blow up, the beat production especially in the samples are super dope. Check out the Toronto up and coming artist Jon Vinyl below!
James Chatburn – Darling I Missed Your Call
“Darling I Missed Your Call” Is a collage of sound combining rough synth bass, gritty guitars, playful trumpet lines and a hard hitting beat, resulting in a steady groove which demands your attention. As the pulse moves on the music constantly warps and changes, constantly adding and removing musical textures and motifs.
The Prince-inspired beat is topped off with simple yet impressive
vocals from James Chatburn, in his signature style, which effortlessly moves to falsetto and back.
SAYAH – Bad Drug
Sydney based singer/songwriter SAYAH drops her new track “Bad Drug” and its accompanying music video (her first). Following “Addicts” this is her second single from her upcoming EP set to be released early 2018.
“Bad Drug is an admission of weakness in the face of love and lust. It’s a very personal confession.
The track was produced by David Andrew (Gang Of Youths), and mixed by Steven Schram (San Cisco, Paul Kelly). The accompanying video was directed by Adam Saunders and is a dark and eerily intimate cinematic experience which focuses on SAYAH and a love interest.
“I’m the first to say that I’m hopeless at relationships. I hate hurting someone I care about but too often I shake my head in disbelief at myself. Bad Drug is a dash of self-scolding with a dollop of catholic guilt.” – SAYAH
Jasmine Nichol – Pretty Little Jay
Born and raised in California’s “Bay Area” artist Jasmine Nichol is the evolution of a 1970’s Urban Hippie Revolutionist. Her music embodies a sense of spirituality, peace, love, and at times the need to speak against the injustices of the world.
Pretty Little Jay is the next installment to Jasmine Nichol’s forthcoming project.
Jhyve – Human
Following this summer’s release of “Feel Something”—a single that made it to top 5 on Spotify’s Viral Top 50 Chart in Canada—Jhyve slows it down on the emotional, heart-felt single—Human.
Written by Jhyve, Human has Jhyve addressing a messy breakup where he’s made to look like the bad guy. The song asks serious questions about how hypocrisy and lies affect a person—even after a relationship ends.
