Watch Sampha Covers Drake’s Controlla.
After releasing his album “Process” and also appearing on Drake’s “More Life” Sampha covers Drake’s hit single “Controlla” in BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.
“I think I’d lie for you,” he sang, while playing the piano. “I think I’d die for you / Jodeci ‘Cry for You’ / Do things when you want me to.”
Drizzy first enlisted Sampha for “Too Much” off 2013’s Nothing Was the Same. More recently, Drake granted Sampha “4422,” a solo cut on More Life.
When asked if the duo has “an album’s worth of material,” Sampha simply laughed. “An album’s worth?” he said. “Maybe, maybe.”
