Last night saw the release of Dave’s explosive debut album, Psychodrama, along with some fun and energetic visuals for second single “Streatham”.
The campaign for Psychodrama was kicked off back in February with the release of “Black“, a potent discussion of the black experience that encouraged people of colour to celebrate who they are. Following that up with the more lighthearted “Streatham” was a smart move from Dave, signalling an album that will be as varied as his back catalogue. That promise wasn’t an empty one as Psychodrama mixes unflinching self-examination and social commentary with tough street rhymes and just a couple of hints of Afroswing.
