Watch Vic Mensa’s Interview with Hot 97 & The Breakfast Club

Vic Mensa Freestyles Over Pusha T’s “Drug Dealers Anonymous” On Hot 97.

Fresh off the release of his new EP, There’s Alot Going On, Chicago’s Vic Mensa recently stopped by Hot 97 to chop it up with Ebro and the rest of the morning team. As if his latest project wasn’t enough proof that this kid is one of the nicest out, the Roc Nation rookie blazed a powerful freestyle over Pusha T’s “Drug Dealers Anonymous.”

Vic also stuck around for a lengthy chat with Ebro, Rosenberg and Laura Stylez about Chicago police, signing to the Roc and why most new rap is not that “legendary.”

Vic Mensa chops it up with The Breakfast Club in NYC.

After releasing a new project on Friday, Vic Mensa gives it a second push with a new sit-down with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club early this morning. The rapper’s been making the rounds, as this interview follows up his conversation with Hot 97.

Charlamagne Tha God kicks off their interview by asking Vic about his record “16 Shots.” Vic elaborates on the song’s inspiration, which was the death of Laquan McDonald, who was gunned down by sixteen shots in Chicago. He goes on to discuss putting out his project with ‘Respect My Vote’ and why he went that route (as well as comments he made last year about voting for Kanye West for President).

The full interview spans 36 minutes, sit back and press play.
