The incoming freshman class of 2023 has been revealed by XXL.
While some of the names are predictable, there are always a few that come as a shock. Milwaukee rapper DC The Don has been voted into 10th place. Freestyles, cyphers, interviews, and more featuring each Freshman will be released by the outlet, with production by Pi’erre Bourne.
By “releasing mixtapes and EPs, ultimately leading to debut albums, creating and maintaining momentum among fans, and touring numerous cities,” XXL writes, “these newcomers have taken on the task of navigating the industry’s obstacle course.”
