Zuko Hardy “Out In The Hills”

ZUKO-HARDY

Zuko Hardy is expanding the definition of what it means to be an experimental artist. He is a South Asian musician from South London who blends trap, pop, rap, and hip-hop in his all-encompassing style of music, and he has recently released another massive offering. ‘Out In The Hills,’ Hardy’s addictive new alt-trap track, is immediately hard hitting in a delightfully sad way.
The autotune voice that Zuko so easily provides is so simple to grip onto that you can sense Travis Scott and Kanye influences there. ‘Out In The Hills’ highlights Hardy’s incredibly fluid and influential brand of sonics that defies categorization, and we can’t get enough of it.

Zuko says “I wrote this song while on holiday in Morocco (where we shot the music video as well). The song explores how I want more from my life, but my thoughts and feelings are trying to hold me back. They want me to play it safe and not take risks ‘Oh won’t you stay, out in the hills’; the hills represent safety and my home town Harrow-on-the-Hill. Throughout the song I am faced with a sense of conflict as I seek an answer to my problem ‘tell me I’m right, tell me I’m wrong.”
