2018 GRAMMY Nominations Announced

This morning, the Recording Academy announced the nominations for the 60th annual GRAMMY Awards, taking place on January 28, 2018, at New York’s Madison Square Garden. JAY-Z leads the pack with a total of eight nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar (7), Bruno Mars (6), Childish Gambino (5), SZA (5) and Khalid (5).

This year’s Album of the Year award is contested by Childish Gambino, JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Lorde and Bruno Mars, while Alessia Cara, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, Julia Michaels, and SZA are all up for Best New Artist. The rap categories are, unsurprisingly, dominated by JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar, with Rapsody, Tyler, The Creator, Cardi B, Migos and GoldLink all picking up well-deserved nominations.
