The full-fledged rap battle between Drake and Pusha T appears to be over. After exchange, vicious lines and harsh words at each other in “Duppy Freestyle” and “The Story of Adidon,” fans of the heated beef were waiting for the second response from Drake. Hip-Hop enthusiasts loving the competitive back-and-forth are now disappointed as it’s been revealed that the beef has ended. In an interview with Maryland’s DTLR Radio, Drake’s mentor and legendary Rap-A-Lot CEO James Prince said he recently had a phone conversation with the 6 God and instructed the Canadian superstar to not respond and end the battle.

I made an OG call to Drake this morning telling him ‘I don’t want you to respond to this’,” said J Prince. The Houston entrepreneur, who has business ties with Drake, cites Pusha T’s attack of those closest to Drake in “The Story of Adidon,” calling it disrespectful as to why he demanded the verbal war to be over with. The news comes a few days after Kanye West, the main subject of Drake’s “Duppy Freestyle,” tweeted in his eyes the beef was dead.
