Stormzy – Brotherhood [New Song]

Ten days ago Stormzy came through with “Birthday Girl,” which was a softer, lady-oriented ballad featuring sombre, lullaby-esque production. The UK rapper, who is positioned as the next one to break in the U.S. following the success of Skepta, returns today with something much more grimey and hard-hitting, proving his versatility. We’ll have to see if you guys are more into this than “Birthday Girl.”

The record, “Brotherhood,” is taken from the film “Brotherhood,” which is a “British trilogy of films about the UK, about London, about living in London, about London life,” according to Beats 1 radio host Julie Adenuga. Stormzy not only contributes to the movie’s original soundtrack, he has a role in the film too.

The intro of the record is so hard that Julie has to replay it. Check it out.
