Adian Coker has become an unmissable force over the last month aided by a blitz of new music and his recent performance alongside Allan Kingdom for ‘DJ Semtex presents’.
A refreshing collection of tracks varying in production and depth have sporadically been released for our listening pleasure to give an insight to the new ‘Connect’ E.P, which is freshly released and available to purchase now.
‘Iyamide’s Son’ presented a deeply emotive feel with an explorative delivery that was risky for the rapper that has been known to reside in a mysterious and concious lane up until now. Earlier tasters came via ‘Aim’, a smooth and soulful joint featuring Bluey Robinson and ‘Nothing New’, providing a darker, eerie, vibe-laden monster lurking within the tracklist. Glimpses of his emotion and playful character shine through on the collection of six tracks and the very deliberate move to release audio only allows full focus to be maintained on what really matters.
Overall the E.P is much more adventurous, charming and a more personal offering than we’ve previously heard and seen in past releases. The records ooze with eloquence and as expected, the E.P is something of a masterpiece in itself but this time it’s touchable, it’s exciting and it’s within reach. It’s time to ‘Connect’ to Adian Coker.
