Triple MOBO Award-winning rapper and author Guvna B returns with This Bed I Made, an 11-track body of work rooted in accountability, faith and recovery. Alongside the album, he shares the visualiser for “Healing Power” featuring AratheJay, a reflective moment that captures the tone of the wider project.
Leaning into conscious jazz-rap textures, the album documents personal battles with addiction and the process of rebuilding. Rather than dramatise, Guvna B approaches the subject matter with clarity and restraint. Collaborations with Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn, Bawo and Claudia Isaki broaden the sound, while Samm Henshaw and the Melodies from Heaven Choir add emotional depth. Production from Benjiflow, TSB and Maths Time Joy ensures cohesion throughout.
Accompanying the album is a short film written by and starring Guvna B, offering an autobiographical look at recovery and mental health. The project positions itself as both art and intervention.
