Fast becoming known as an electronic pop pioneer who is willing to push boundaries, Astronomyy – aka Worcestershire born musician Arron Davey – has a sound that reflects the scope of his project’s intergalactic name. Having already impressed with previous singles Hypnotized and Things I’d Do For U, he now presents his third single, Don’t Need U from the forthcoming EP ‘Rest In Paradise’.
Don’t Need U is a nod to his vast and loyal online fan base, the track is a rework of the original multi million streaming SoundCloud and HypeM hit which helped to cement Astronomyy’s sound and career. ‘Don’t Need U is the song I wrote that inspired the birth of Astronomyy. it combines a love of old school hip hop beats and weird guitars. I wanted it to sound futuristic but with clear throw-back influences’
