The Game Caught Rapping Same Freestyle for Four Years

The Game gets caught out for Rapping Same Freestyle for years.

Outsiders to rap would probably hear a spontaneous freestyle and guess that it was difficult, but discerning rap fans know that it’s one of the trickiest skills to pull off. Freestyling allows a rapper to display their purest lyrical skills and sharp mind, and is one of the only remaining forms of competition left in the genre.

If poorly executed, it can be a nightmare for the artists, particularity is the performance happens to have been recorded. There’s another way it can detrimentally affect someone, and that’s is they’ve been caught cheating.

The Game, who is in trouble after the recent infamous basketball brawl, is the most recent victim to this, having been caught repeating the same freestyle for years and pretending each time that it was impromptu. Take a look at the videos below and hear the same verse during radio shows, live events, and even on the street. This is a huge dent in his credibility. An especially embarrassing moment is when he uses his memorized and rehearsed text just to beat an unprofessional rapper whom The Game encouraged into a battle. Was that really necessary?

The Internet is deemed to have been the main component in The Documentary II star’s downfall, after a user on Reddit’s HipHopHeads apparently saw similarities between a number of feigned instinctive spits. The rapper could have at least updated the lyrics, opting instead to keep the 2009 Eminem Relapse reference as part of his script. It’s not only cheating, but also lazy.
