Izzy Bizu has emerged as one of the biggest breakthrough artists of 2015, being voted as a BRITs Critics Choice finalist as well as a finalist on the BBC Sound Poll for 2016.
Now Izzy brings us the Heavytrackerz remix of new single “White Tiger” featuring the legendary Kano.
Storming the critics’ lists this year, and with an album in the making, Izzy Bizu will play her biggest headline tour to date in January, with a show at London’s Scala on 27 January. Born to an Ethiopian mother and English father, Izzy Bizu’s rich cultural tapestry has informed her soulful pop soundscape.
Growing up on a diet of Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse and Marvin Gaye, Izzy’s delicate acoustica threads those nostalgic funk-and-soul elements with a genuine indie spirit. Discovered at an ILuvLive open mic event (who provided an early platform for artists including Wretch 32 and Jessie J) the 21-year-old London soulstress garnered early support from Radio 1 and 1Xtra and is set to release her debut album ‘A Moment of Madness’ on Sony Music in May 2016.
