It was the perfect homecoming for J. Cole on Sunday night (Feb. 17), headlining the 68th annual NBA All-Star Game halftime show. Cole World, who grew up just three hours away in Fayetteville, North Carolina, took to the stage at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, delivering an incredible show. Wearing a throwback Charlotte Hornets Starter jacket, J. Cole opened his set with a performance of his new single “Middle Child” for the first-time live. The Dreamville star switched things up to is 21 Savage collaboration “a lot,” shouting out the Atlanta rapper, who is dealing with legal issues after being detained by ICE earlier this month.

Backed by singers and a full band, J. Cole moved from the crowd of screaming fans to the main stage where he closed his set with the songs “ATM, “Love Yourz” and “No Role Modelz.” Watch J. Cole’s full halftime show performance at the 2019 NBA All-Star Game below.
